Argentina Through My Eyes: A Land of colors, culture, and contrasts
One of my favorite destinations in the world is Argentina. Maybe it’s partly because I was born there and I love the food and the energy of the people, but also because the landscapes are so diverse, it honestly feels like four countries in one!

In the north of Argentina, my favorite town is Purmamarca. It’s about an hour from the city of San Salvador de Jujuy, sitting at an altitude of around
2,324 meters above sea level. It’s a magical place, surrounded by hills, and the most famous one is without a doubt the Cerro de Siete Colores (Hill of Seven Colors) it looks like it was painted by hand.
The houses are made of adobe, the streets are unpaved, and there’s a peaceful atmosphere that makes you forget about the outside world. The local markets, the folk music playing in the plaza, and traditional foods like
tortillas e empanadas make it truly unforgettable.
Buenos Aires is a city often compared to Madrid or Paris. In fact, many call it the “Paris of South America” thanks to its mix of European architectural styles, wide avenues, historic cafés, and vibrant cultural life. There’s so much to do, both during the day and at night—from exploring neighborhoods like San Telmo or Palermo, to catching a tango show
or a theater performance on Corrientes Avenue.

And finally, in the south of Argentina, in
Patagonia, there’s the city of Bariloche, which feels like a little piece of Switzerland. It’s full of forests, crystal-clear lakes, and charming mountain-style architecture with wooden houses and sloped roofs. It sits on the shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi and is surrounded by snow-capped mountains in winter.
It’s the perfect place for skiing or
hiking, and don’t even get me started on the artisan chocolate, it’s a must! Each season transforms the landscape, so no matter when you visit, there’s always something breathtaking to see.
If you ever get the chance, don’t miss the opportunity to travel to Argentina!
