The Iconic Chain Bridge: A Symbol of Budapest’s History and Beauty
Chain Bridge: Where Buda Meets Pest
The bridge crosses the Danube linking Buda and Pest. It is distinguished by its two large stone towers, iron chains and majestic lions. It’s a place where people pass through, but it’s also a charming place where lovers leave many little hearts hanging on the railings.
In the evening, the lights highlight the details of this superb architecture. For me, the best time is in the morning. It’s an unforgettable experience, with an incredible view of Parliament and the awakening of the river banks.
Photographers and strollers alike enjoy contemplating the various buildings. – On the Buda side, you can reach the Fishermen’s Bastion and lose yourself in the charming alleyways.

A unique experience
Don’t miss: Mathias Church and the Royal Palace. Spectacular views over the city.
In Pest : discover the bustle of the streets and admire the many extraordinary facades of the old buildings. For more inspiration, visit the official Hungary travel website.
Nearby sights: Parliament, St. Stephen’s Basilica, Opera House and Great Synagogue.
